Lead Time and Logistics, Stated Honestly

Stock office seating from major lines can ship in 2 to 4 weeks. Custom-finish executive and conference furniture commonly runs 8 to 14 weeks from an approved PO. SCIF-grade and security-grade specialty items extend further, sometimes past 20 weeks, depending on cleared-vendor schedules. Heavy install at an occupied facility almost always requires after-hours or phased coordination, and that coordination costs money that belongs in the estimate rather than in a change order.

When a schedule is genuinely non-negotiable, we say so up front and propose substitutions that hit the date with comparable specifications. Sometimes the honest answer is that your date cannot be met with the product you specified. We would rather tell you that during the market research phase than win the bid and hand you the schedule risk.

Does SDVOSB Furniture hold its own GSA Schedule?

No. SDVOSB Materials does not hold its own GSA Schedule contract. GSA orders are fulfilled through GSA-registered partner vendors. Depending on your office, a direct SDVOSB or HUBZone set-aside under FAR 19.14 or FAR 19.13, or the TIPS cooperative purchasing contract, may be a shorter path than a Schedule buy. Can you meet BABA and Buy American requirements?

Yes, where the manufacturer's product line is compliant. Compliance is a per-line-item question, not a company-level one, so we confirm it product by product and provide the documentation your contracting officer needs for the determination. Some imported component lines will not qualify, and we flag those before you specify them.

Do you handle installation, or only supply?

Both. Most projects run as a single scope covering space planning, supply, delivery, installation, and project management through punch-list closeout. Supply-only is available when a facility has its own install crew, though it usually shifts warranty coordination back onto your team.

How do you handle ADA compliance?

ADA requirements are coordinated into the space plan before any product is specified, on every project where ADA applies. Retrofitting ADA compliance after a layout is approved is the most common avoidable cost on institutional furniture jobs.

Can you provide SCIF-grade furniture?

Yes, for cleared-facility applications. SCIF and secure-facility work uses specialty partner products and requires advance lead time confirmation, since cleared-vendor production schedules are the constraint rather than the furniture itself. Send the specific requirement and the facility's accreditation authority.
